Methodology

How we research, evaluate, and compare DevOps platforms.

Data Sources

We gather data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness:

Evaluation Criteria

Each platform is evaluated across a consistent set of dimensions:

Updates & Maintenance

Our content is reviewed and updated on a rolling basis. We track platform releases, pricing changes, and feature announcements to keep our profiles current. If you notice outdated information, please contact us.

On volatile pricing data: SaaS free-tier allotments — such as CI/CD "free minutes per month", storage caps, and per-user ceilings — are not encyclopedic constants. Vendors treat these as variable marketing spend and revise them frequently, sometimes with little or no public notice (for instance, GitLab has repeatedly cut its free CI compute minutes to curb crypto-mining abuse). Every pricing page and buying guide that quotes a specific vendor allotment is stamped with a last verified date and carries an inline disclaimer reminding readers that the figures are time-sensitive. When a figure is older than 90 days, or the vendor has announced a change, we prioritize re-verification. Always cross-check the vendor's official pricing page before architectural decisions or procurement commitments.
