DigitalOcean uses a simple, flat-rate pricing model with no hidden fees. You pay a predictable monthly rate per resource, with per-second billing (60-second minimum) for Droplets. Billing is monthly -- your card is charged on the first of each month for the previous month's usage. New accounts receive a $200 credit valid for 90 days. Volume discounts, committed use, and prepayment are not available (unlike hyperscalers), but the lower base rates and transparent pricing keep costs predictable.

DOKS (Kubernetes): Free HA control plane. Worker nodes from $12/mo. Load balancers $12/mo each. App Platform: Free tier (3 static sites), Basic from $5/mo per service, Pro from $12/mo per service. Managed Databases: From $15/mo (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, Valkey, OpenSearch). Spaces (object storage): $5/mo for 250GiB + 1TiB outbound transfer, CDN included. Functions: 90,000 GiB-seconds free per month, no per-invocation charge.

Data transfer: Free ingress, free VPC-internal, public internet overage at $0.01/GiB.
